About Us

We are Barry and Sandi Warburton and Sunner is our Marples 44 Trimaran Sailboat. Sunner was built by Sandie and Dennis Cartwright in San Francisco California to a design by John Marples. She is 44 feet long and 28 feet wide. She is cold molded in Cedar using Constant Camber construction. She has sailed (so far) from San Francisco thru the Panama Calan to the Chesapeake Bay - then back around Florida to Kemah, Texas.

Sandi and I intend to live aboard Sunner and wander the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico from the Bahamas to Panama. We have a website we inherited from Dennis and Sandie - www.sunner.us - where you can find photos of our trip and other interesting tidbits. Its linked over to the left.

We’ve also started this blog to share other aspects of our ride with Sunner. We’ll be posting stories, photos and other odds and ends here as we go along.
